To comprehend the difference between site design and Web Development, you have to know how a website works. An internet site is a sequence of documents called web pages that are all attached to one another by links. These documents / internet pages are drafted in a really unique coding language called HTML or Hypertext Markup Language. To view a website you have to employ a browser like Web Explorer or Firefox. Web browsers interpret the HTML coding from webpages into a visible form that you can see and have interaction with.

So, what’s the difference between website design and Web Development? Site design deals with the way the website should look and work in a net browser, while Web Development deals with making the HTML code that is interpreted by the browser.

Website design before Web Development Before a website can be created, you first need to come up with a concept for it. What will it be about? What will it look like? How will folk engage with it? These are all questions that are answered in the site design process. Website design creates a plan and model of how an internet site should look, feel and work.

Everything from the graphics used, to the sort of font styling is regarded in this process. Once a web site designer knows the way in which the internet site should look, the following step is the Web Development process. Web Development takes the site design idea / plan of a new site, and uses it as a guide to form HTML code that when viewed in an internet browser will create the proper appearance of the site. For instance, if a website designer had a layout concept for a new website, the web developer would take that layout idea and would write HTML code that would display that layout idea correctly in a browser. Website design and Web Development work side-by-side.

They rely on one another for a website to be made. Site design gives a clear concept of how a site should appear and behave, while Web Development turns that concept into a possible model. Hopefully by reading this you now have a better experience of what Web Design and Web Development are, and the way in which the interact with one another to form the overwhelming web sites we see online every day.

Your sites should talk lots about yourself and the business you represent. How visitors feel about your company how things are shown online can influence, and whether they want to purchase your products or hire your service. Firstly, what sides of an internet site are said to be visitor-friendly?

It has got to be a simple site to navigate

Each link on your internet site must work, and you should provide buttons above, below, and on the side of each page so that visitors can simply go from and to portions of your website.

It has got to be pleasing to take a look at

No flashy colours, blinking texts, or excessive animations. The site should also not be too plain that reading it’d be dull.

It must impact

It does not mean that fancy stuff is required. A site must appear as pro as practicable to bring about the trust of the possible client.

How to design a domain: stuff you want first

There are a number of angles of website design that you can use, but before anything more, you need to start on the right foot.

Here are 2 things that you’ve got to have before you set yourself on planning the plans of your internet site :

1. Have you got a domain name?

You may decide on one that may simply be recalled, ideally a name that’s keyphrase rich. Don’t be obscure, and make sure that it represents your website and your business very well. Many sources say, in your site name avoid using hyphens (-), and stick to 3 words or less in a name. Note a .com site or .net site beats .info or .org.

2. A web host have you found?

A web host provides you with your drawing board to put your internet site in. In a way, they give you the space on the internet to upload your internet site and all its contents. Web hosts might be free or paid, and you are given tools and tech support to help out. When you have nailed these 2 down, you can then plan your site. You can design it yourself if you’re acquainted with HTML and site design software. You will also use templates which are available on the web, for you to have a pro looking color palette and lay out.

If you can not do it yourself, what are your options?

Of course, not all folk have the wherewithal to familiarize themselves with HTML, Flash, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and other programs. If you do not have the abilities nor the time to design your internet site yourself, you can seek the assistance of the executives. There are plenty of website design firms across the world that may bring to life your concepts for site design, so you spend a little less time troubling, and more time concentrating on other facets of your business.
